6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Turbocharger
You’re on the road, ready to pass, you hit the gas … wait for it … wait for it … then the turbo kicks in. No good. When you need power, you need it now. That’s why the 2011 Super Duty® moved the turbocharger between the cylinder heads and the top of the block, and moved the exhaust manifold inboard and adjacent to the turbocharger. Closer proximity means faster air displacement and more power. Tack on the fact that this turbocharger uses a light, single-shaft design, dual-sided compressor wheel and articulating turbine vanes that vary the flow of air based on the accelerator, and you have a turbocharger that gives you more power and torque. When you need it most.
